Food Safety Level 2 

'Food Glorious Food' is a delight to be enjoyed by everyone, but according to the Food Standards Agency, around 70,000 people across England and Wales suffer the effects of food poisoning. Much of this is the result of a lack of basic food knowledge, poor hygiene and appropriate food management processes. This course will provide you with the appropriate knowledge necessary to obtain a Food Safety Certificate issued by the Royal Society for Promotion of Health (RSPH).

Who it is for:

The course is essential for anyone coming into contact with food or drinks to be sold for consumption. These topics are regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to understanding and maintaining good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food.

  • Time and temperature control
  • Personal hygiene techniques
  • Cleaning and disinfection

Assessment:

Delegates will be assessed through completion of a multiple choice assessment paper.

Certification:

Successful delegates will be issued with a Level 2 certificate awarded by the Royal Society for Promotion of Health (RSPH). The certificate is valid for 3 years.
