Food Safety Level 1

This course provides a basic qualification in Food Safety awareness. It has been designed to help the food and catering industries to provide training to a safe level for those who perform "low risk" tasks such as clearing tables, maintaining stores, "meals on wheels" and other similar duties.

Who is it for?

This course is appropriate for anybody wishing to have an awareness of food hygiene.

  • The need for food hygiene
  • Food poisoning bacteria
  • Hygiene procedures

How is it assessed?

There is an MCQ examination at the end of the course. This paper is then marked externally by the Royal Society for Promotion of Health (RSPH).

Certification

Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate, valid for 3 years.
