Anaphylaxis First Aid
Allergic reactions can happen to anyone at any time and can be fatal without treatment. This course will teach you how to recognise the causes, symptoms and subsequent treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis). The Auto Injector (epi – pen) course can be delivered as a stand alone course or in conjunction with another First Aid course.
Who it is for:
This course is ideal for teachers, carers and anyone who may have to deal with a casualty who suffers with anaphylaxis.

- What is anaphylaxis?
- Awareness of anaphylaxis
- Recognition features
- First aid treatment
- Using Epinephrine / Adrenaline auto injectors
- Aftercare and recording, following the use of the auto injector
- Accidental use
There is no formal assessment on this course. Students are continually assessed by our highly experienced St John trainers.
All successful delegates will receive a St John Wales certificate, valid for 3 years.
