First Aid at Work Requalification (blended)

 

Our 2-day training course is only available to those with a valid First Aid at Work certificate.

To remain qualified, delegates should complete this requalification course before their current certificate expires.

As part of our customer care programme we will contact you when this is due to ensure you remain compliant.

This new course takes place over two days and has two parts:

Day 1 - Online - (can be completed up to 6 weeks before the below)

Day 2 - Face-to-face - where you'll be assessed on your knowledge of the online course and the content learned on this day


Who is it for?

Delegates who have completed the First Aid at Work 3 day course and need to requalify before their certificate expires.

Day 1 - Online:

  • Role of the first aider
  • Managing an emergency
  • Asthma
  • Chest pain
  • Fainting
  • Low blood sugar
  • Stroke
  • Allergic reaction
  • Hyperventilation
  • Eye injuries
  • Seizures
  • Minor bleeding
  • Bone, muscle, joint injuries
  • Burns and scalds
  • Poisons
  • Heat and cold
                

 

Day 2 - Face-to-face:

  • Role of the first aider
  • Primary survey
  • Unresponsive breathing
  • Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Head, neck and spine injuries
  • Choking
  • Unresponsive not breathing

 

FAWR course feedback


How is it assessed?

Delegates are assessed by our highly experienced St John Ambulance Cymru trainers in line with current HSE guidelines, in addition to an assessment paper.

 

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a St John Ambulance Cymru certificate, valid for 3 years.
