Catastrophic Bleeding & Tourniquets
This course is ideal for anyone working in a high risk environment where there could be a possibility of catastrophic bleeding and the need to use tourniquets e.g. agriculture, manufacturing.
We can offer this course as a bolt on to our First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work courses as well as a stand alone course. It is advised that those attending hold a first aid certificate.
Who it is for?
Anyone holding a first aid certificate who may find themselves in a high risk environment where they may need to deal with catastrophic bleeding e.g. agriculture, manufacturing.
What you will learn?
- How to manage an incident
- Use of a variety of bandages for catastrophic bleeding
- Use of a tourniquet
There is no formal assessment on this course. Students are continually assessed by our highly experienced St John trainers.
All successful delegates will receive a St John Wales certificate, valid for 3 years.
