Schools First Aid

Around 130,000 accidents happen to children in schools across the UK every year.
Teachers and ancillary staff are often first at the scene so it is vital that you know what to do.

This short course will teach you how to treat some of the most common childhood injuries promptly and effectively.

This course has been specifically designed to be suitable for anyone dealing with school age children, and the times fit into a school working day.

  • Burns and scalds
  • Choking (Adult and child)
  • Communication and casualty care
  • Fainting

  • Low blood sugar
  • Seizures (Adult and Child)
  • Nosebleed
  • Poisoning
  • Resuscitation (Adult and child)
  • Shock
  • Unresponsive casualty
     

Assessment:

There is no formal assessment on this course. Students are continually assessed by our highly experienced St John trainers.
 

Certification:

All successful delegates will receive a St John Wales certificate, valid for 3 years.
